Will AI reshape companies from pyramids into obelisks? Take the example of consulting firms. Today, most of them are shaped like a pyramid: a few senior partners at the top and a large base of junior consultants at the bottom. But in the age of AI, that pyramid may become an obelisk. With intelligent tools handling much of the repetitive analysis and grunt work, you simply won’t need as many junior people at the base.
