People are being challenged by AI

A few weeks ago, I asked a Silicon Valley founder how many employees he had. The moment I saw his eyes glaze over, I knew I’d asked the wrong question. I could almost hear him thinking, “Oh God, what a boomer question.”

Still, he answered: “300. 30 of which are human.”

His response stuck with me. It perfectly captured the moment we’re in: a time when the very definition of work and what it means to be an employee is being challenged more than ever before.
